Babies Scratching Themselves?

Anyone else having this problem with their LOs? Carolyn keeps scratching her face no matter how often I trim her nails. I'm wondering if I should try filing them too? Even when they're short they sometimes still have sharp edges. I'm also worried because she has her hands in her mouth 24/7 and I don't want her to scratch inside her mouth.

strange rash...

Charlotte has developed a strange rash. It is mostly on her lower face and her chest. It almost looks like heat rash...tiny red, raised bumps. It is cold here so I know it isn't heat rash LOL. At first I thought it was baby acne because it came on about the same time that she started breaking out with that. The baby acne is almost all cleared up, but the rash is still there.

She is exclusively breastfed so I wonder if she has a sensitivity to something I am eating. Would it show up ...

When I first held Calla after she was born and examined her closely, I noticed her right eye had a broken blood vessel. The nurse told me it was probably from coming through the birth canal, which makes sense to me. Later I also noticed the same eye had a bit of bruising under the eyebrow, in addition to a bright red angel kiss on the eyelid. I assumed her little black-eye was also from being born.

She is almost six weeks old and she still has the black-eye. When will it heal? How ...
